While as Christians we trust in God's mercy and place our hope in the resurrection, we still keenly feel the loss of those we love. Our ministry of consolation accompanies those who mourn by offering comfort and support, and especially by helping the family plan the funeral liturgy. Typically, the funeral director will contact the parish and then a representative of consolation ministry will reach out to the family.

Our consolation ministry team will contact the family before the funeral liturgy. If possible, family members will meet at the parish center with the consolation minister to pick readings and music.
