Click the Heading to learn the ways to donate to this year's appeal. The season of Lent is a time for us to renew our heart-to-heart relationship with God and with our neighbors. It is also an opportunity to reflect more deeply on what it means to be a missionary disciple. One way we can respond to this call and help others to experience the love of God is by making a gift to the Catholic Ministries Appeal. Our sincere thanks to all of you who support the Appeal. The Catholic Ministries Appeal provides the means for our Church to continue the quest of Dramatic Missionary Growth by journeying together in communion, participation and mission that lets us serve more than 600,000 people of God in our community each year. Your generosity enables us to support our Church’s efforts in evangelization, liturgy and worship, respect life initiatives, youth and young adult ministry, and programs for the poor and disadvantaged through Catholic Charities and our Parish Outreach programs. It also helps fund critically important religious education programs while promoting vocations to the priesthood and consecrated life. This Lent, we invite you to reflect on the words of Saint Paul, "For you know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that though He was rich yet for your sake He became poor, so that by His poverty you might become rich." (2 Cor 8:9). His sacrifice is a model for all of us to follow as we join together to impact the lives of thousands of people on Long Island through support of the Catholic Ministries Appeal. Thank you for your continuing generosity and commitment to the good works of our Saint Anthony’s Church.
